TEC Tax Rate Programming

Most all TEC models will use these procedures for tax programming. If these don’t work for your register/system, feel free to contact our Memphis office at (901)794-4828 for assistance.

SINGLE TAX RATE

1. Register sales must be reset before tax can be changed. This includes all daily and periodic sales totals. (many Tec models have a soft flag reset referred to as a Status Clear which will allow change without sales reset.)

2. Turn mode key to Set.

3. Enter 10 and press Tx/m.

4. Enter 18 and press Tx/m.

5. Press ST (Subtotal)

6. Enter new rate (ex) 9.25 and press ATTL ( The decimal point button must be used to allow entry)

7. Return key to register mode.
